Drying temperature and drying time of TPE materials
Water absorption of TPE materials is very small,about 0.3-0.5%.In the ordinary way Drying is not required under injection molding directly.For some products which need overmolding,you should need to dry it before Production and processing,such as after prolonged storage to achieve best results use on dry 2 hours at 70℃ .
Drying temperature and drying time of TPE materials:
TPE: hardness:30-60 shore(A),Drying temperature:60-70℃,drying time:1-2h.
TPE: hardness:70-100 shore(A),Drying temperature:70-80℃,drying time:1-2h.
The general principle of drying: higher hardness of TPE,higher Drying temperature,longer drying time.

How temperature influence the processing of TPE adhesion to ABS ??
It is very common for TPE adhesion to ABS. On the premise of no
problem for the equipment and mould. Temperature is the main infuential factor
of injection molding processing.
some time ago, i have follow a client who look for TPE materials
adhesion ABS. His product is a button(size:80 mm long,20 mm
wide, 2~3mm
Thickness, Main material is ABS) so he want some TPE materials to adhesion to
this button in order to get better soft feeling.

First step, i take some button samples to our engineers for
testing. according to the result, they provide me a TPE materials(hardness:50A ,specific gravity:1.07) with Good
mobility. I carried these sample to my client's factory for testing the sample.
second step: the processing of testing. First time, their
engineer adjusted the temperature of machine to 190℃
but the result is very bad because of the product deformation. Second time,185℃ ,the result is better than first time. Third time, it is
perfect.
Analysis summary: the reason of Product deformation is too much
higher temperature during processing of overmolding and too fast speed of open
